Sky Sports presenter Emma Saunders revealed that she was suffering from brain infection after fighting cancer.
Saunders, who is well known to football fans as a journalist for the broadcaster for the broadcaster, courageously revealed on social networks from her hospital bed that she will move away from her functions for a certain time while she continues to fight a brain infection called Encephalitis.
“Hi people. Unfortunately, life has taken a little unexpected turn a few weeks ago and I am now on leave while I recover from encephalitis – a brain infection, “wrote Saunders on Instagram.
“I hope it will not take long until I come back to see the end of 2024/25 – especially after missing part of the start of the season before that when I was treated for thyroid cancer.
“So, while I spend time now recovering and rebuilding again – I just wanted to thank my family and friends for their solid support, my Sky colleagues for their patience, which allowed me to heal, and our wonderful NHS for their kindness and extraordinary care.
“And of course, you will always be just to be you and be there for me.”
Saunders, who also worked for the BBC during his career, began to go out with the English football manager Will, who is currently in charge of the French objective last year.
In addition to his report on the day of the match for Sky, Saunders also worked as stadium presenter for England Internationals, the World Cup and the rugby matches of the Six Nations.
His Sky Sports colleagues and several internationals from England were among those who send his support messages, with Kyle Walker commenting: “Send you love”.
