Arsenal’s head coach Mikel Arteta is convinced that his team is rediscovering his magic touch of the sets after their recent fallow patch.
The opposition teams did not seem to have no response earlier in the season to the dead ball routines employed by the Arteta team under the direction of Set coach Nicolas Jover, but recently, they were much less prolific.
They go to Old Trafford to face Manchester United on Sunday knowing that a victory is essential if they want to keep their hopes increasingly weak to catch Liverpool the leaders of the Premier League.

The match against United in the Emirates Stadium earlier in the campaign produced two corners goals while Arsenal lacked 2-0 winners, when the team’s dead ball powers were apparently at their peak.
They fought for goals more generally since Christmas, although there were encouraging signs of a corner after being returned Tuesday, the Walloping of the PSV Eindhoven on Tuesday which ended a goalless race of two games.
Asked about what has been holding them lately, punishing teams on the sets, Arteta replied: “Various reasons. In some of the games, we have generated many situations and chances, in others, we have not been at our level.
“Sometimes it is delivery, sometimes it is timing, sometimes execution. So something that plays a big role is the opposition. They know how to defend, they are very well prepared for this because they know that it is a great threat to ours.
“We did very well two or three days ago (at PSV), we did well against (Nottingham) Forest. It will come, but we must be very persistent. »»
Arsenal was hampered by the absence of Bukayo Saka, whose delivery to Corners had been one of their most effective weapons before getting injured.
“It’s another (factor),” said Arteta. “When you have it on both sides, this level of consistency and quality, it helps.
“The score from sets is never a flat line that you will maintain. This should not regenerate frustration. »»
The victory at Eindhoven established a record for the greatest victory outside in the stages with direct elimination of the Champions League.
However, it is at the national level where a lack of fire power threatened to derail their ambitions, and after having collected a point of their last two leagues games – attracting whites in both – Liverpool was authorized to open a perhaps unassailable advance of 13 points.
Arteta warned that his team could expect a very different challenge on Sunday to the one who did not materialize in the Netherlands.
“I hope we can reproduce this (scorer),” he added. “Understand why you score the goals and can you constantly provide these moments, these situations as often as possible to increase the probably reproducing it. This is what we have to do.
“We know that Sunday will be a very different match. We are very clear about it.
“We want to continue the momentum, but we will have to be really good to win the right to do so. We also know historically how difficult it is to win there. »»
