Jake Knapp went down to earth after his superb opening tower 59 with his 70 under the word on Friday by cutting his advance at the PGA Tour Cognizant Classic in a single stroke.

First playing the nine at the back at PGA National, Knapp reached the turn, but after the Birdies on the third and fourth holes are made a double bogey on the sixth by 4.

Kapp led into the water and then struck his third blow in raw. Nevertheless, he finished the second round with an advantage at a time on Matthieu Pavon of France, who pulled a 7-mine of 64.

“I never had to follow a 59 in a tournament before. It’s new to me,” Knapp said. “Yesterday, everything just clicks on the ball sage, the distance control was really good, was able to control the flight and the windows. All that was perfect.

“Today, I think the winds were sort of stops and (I) just found it wrong, but overall, I had the impression that I always made good passes. A few capricious strokes but nothing too much about,” he added.

– Cleaning –

The 30-year-old had done 12 birdies in a round without Bogey on Thursday and heads for the weekend hoping that he can stay at the top.

“I think everything remains the same. Obviously, today is not as great. I will go out and train a little and make sure that certain things are cleaned,” he said.

“But for the most part, you can’t really do too much on this course. You can’t master it or something like that. I just have to take what it gives you.”

Pavon started in the form of blisters making an eagle on his first hole, the 10th par-5. He reached green in half and sank a 15 -foot putt.

He followed this perfect beginning with successive birdies and reached the five turn under the turn. He had three birdies arriving, his second excellent second nine slightly defeated by a bogey on the sixth delicate hole, where he missed a five -foot putt for the peer.

“Tenth Hole was the beginning of the dream. A nice journey, like the low cut, and I ended up with a good number with a 4-year-old iron, like 230 meters more or less, a little below the right, and I hit this perfect iron, a little tension against the wind, and I finished 20, 25 feet,” said Pavon.

“We had an excellent reading with my shopping cart. We saw the line easily, and I just made a great blow to start with a three.

“I think we are getting better and better. I have the impression that my game is better and more after the few weeks when I had trouble at the start of this season,” he said.

Three Americans, Michael Kim, Daniel Berger and Dough Ghim, sat on a different blow on 11 sous, alongside the Swedish Jesper Svensson.

Ghim had the tour of the day with a sparkling bug without Bogey, 8 under page 63. Like Pavon, he won the 10th, where his approach shot of 237 yards landed two feet from the hole.

“It seems that it will continue to be there, according to the wind. But it is enough to keep the pedal on the ground because there are a lot of people who have a chance,” he said.
