On Friday, NASA Hataoka in Japan shot the best series of days of the second day, taking it to the first position at Blue Bay LPGA in China.
Despite swirling winds on the journey of Hainan Island, Hataoka made seven birdies and only one Bogey to make a six -sous 66 card and get into the ranking after its first round 71.
“Under these windy conditions, I was trying to hit controlled shots,” said Hataoka after his turn.
“I was struck really well, especially my iron shot. And my average putt was good too”.
The 26-year-old ended the day on seven sub-valves to equalize for the head with the recruit of the LPGA Tour Cassie Porter. The Australian dropped only one time during her round of 68.
The spouse of the night, Kim A-Lim, quickly fell back as she carded four Bogeys in her first six holes in the second round. The South Korean finished with a series of 77 to fall in 32nd place.
Kim’s joint leaders after the first round, Ayaka Furue from Japan and Auston Kim in the United States, are respectively on the sixth and fourth, after the combat rounds left them in the running for the weekend.
The American in particular had to fight to recover after taking two of the first three holes.
“It was enough from top to bottom,” she said after her round of 71.
“I do a lot of storms. (It’s) just being able to minimize errors and unl forced errors.”
The major double winner Minjee Lee and the world number two in shape Jeeno Thitikul rest five fire on two sub-parts, and could still prove to be a threat in the last two laps this weekend.
